Californians Rick Estrin & The Nightcats' endlessly creative Contemporary landed at #4. And The Cash Box Kings' razor-sharp Hail To The Kings! took the #9 spot.

Cannon's Alligator debut, The Chicago Way, landed at #1 on MOJO's 2016 blues top ten list. The Cash Box Kings' label debut, Royal Mint, took the #2 spot in 2017.

Christone "Kingfish" Ingram
"Ingram is a slashing guitarist and forceful singer…subtle and surprising…skillfully composed. Remarkable maturity."
--MOJO

Toronzo Cannon
"Toronzo Cannon rises to the front rank of Chicago bluesmen. There is nothing conventional about his songwriting. Wide-screen modern arrangements for wry, thoughtful songs, molding an ensemble sound that’s both tempestuous and scrupulously controlled."
--MOJO

Rick Estrin & The Nightcats
Estrin defines his own brand of hip. Original blues and vintage rock-style tunes also harbor his superb harmonica work. Estrin emotes with just the right mix of kitsch and sincerity. The current litter of ‘Cats, including guitarist Kid Andersen, reigns as the best band anywhere."
--DownBeat

The Cash Box Kings
"Singer-harpist Joe Nosek and singer Oscar Wilson are experts in classic Chicago grooves – perfectly evoking Muddy and Little Walter -- but they also enchant with original songs both funny and pointed."
--MOJO
